British Airways and Codeshare Partner Name Corrections

British Airways and Codeshare Partner Name Corrections

It has been brought to our attention that British Airways will now not allow corrections to be made to names (even for 1 letter) if there are sectors operated by another carrier(s) in the same PNR.   This rule applies even if the other carrier(s) has authorised the name can be corrected from their side…

If the name on a 125 ticket needs to be amended but is connected to a PNR containing sectors with other carriers, the BA sector must be re-booked and ticketed in a new PNR and the old ticket cancelled. Normal fare cancellation rules apply

The only exception to the above rule is for BA sectors that are combined with the following:

  • BA Franchise Partners (CityJet, Comair, Sunair)
  • Aer Lingus Prime flights
  • Aer Lingus codeshares with BA
  • American Airlines Prime flights
  • American Airlines codeshares with BA
  • Iberia Prime flights (including Iberia Express and Air Nostrum)
  • Iberia codeshares with BA
